About

As I said in the welcome section, my name is Karizze G, though I am more commonly known online as Keng. I have been doing graphic-slash-web design for over 4 years now as a hobby, learning HTML by myself my freshman year of high school. I'm currently a sophomore at the University of Florida, where I am majoring in Accounting. Apart from webdesign, I also like to laze around and read manga online.

This site isn't meant to be some sort of professional portfolio (HAH, that'd be funny) 'cause I am by NO MEANS a professional. Doing all this over the years has taught me a lot, however, and I figured it'd be nice to show what I can do and the growth that I've undergone.

Potpourri?

By definition, the word potpourri can mean "a collection containing a variety of sorts of things". Since the work I've chosen to include here range from full layouts to simple header images and cover not only web interfaces but print and mixed media, I thought it was a most fitting word to turn into this site's name.

Current Layout

This layout was inspired by the navigation in a Flexible Squares layout I once used for my eljay. Since I never employed a horizontal list for my navigation before, I figured what the hell and gave it a shot. I think it turned out pretty nicely, hence this layout you see here and its twin layout over at Turbo-Geek.org.

Credit for the brush/mask I used in the header and footer images go to Sarah over at April Sky.
Additional credits go to Lightbox JS v2.0 for the nifty javascript thingy I used for the images. :)

If you haven't looked at my footer, this layout is valid XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS 2.0.
This layout is also cross-browser compatible and can be viewed in Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.4, IE6, IE7, & Opera 9.20.
